DECA Business Club

• The DECA group is a student-independently ran club, in which I participated in at my high school, the group consisted of creating a startup or a vision and then taking your project or concept to a team of rather experienced individuals in different parts of the United States in order to compete, gain exposure, make connections, and win awards. I obtained a VP position in this group, in which I helped students and other young entrepreneurs with their projects, concepts, and ideas. As a leader of the group, we obtained sponsorship from the school for various trips to the competitions and various learning experiences. Each individual or group in DECA is responsible to make their own project and present it independently, it is student organized and allowed for students to take on the responsibility of putting their brain to work and applying themselves. Students can win state titles, national titles, and even international titles, in which upon winning, it is widely respectable to have such awards under your belt when entering the entrepreneurship world. I presented a payment processing organizer and virtual middleman website that will be executed this summer and taken to competitions during March.

Naval STEM Academy Program

• The United States Naval Academy Summer STEM program was a local academy in which I attended over the course of a month. At this program, we furthered our understanding of various computer science languages and aspects of programming, which effectively grew our knowledge of various technical and computing abilities. We studied Objective-C, JS / Java, Bash, and C#. We learned effective ways in which the Naval Academy involves methods of seeking out enemy information to their benefit. It was interesting learning how specific methods used on the computer were able to have such a great impact on the United States Arsenal.

Cyber Patriots Club

• Cyber Patriots was another club, relating to competitions and cyber challenges that we would essentially compete in order to create a solution for. I attended the club for the end of 9th grade and a majority of 10th grade. As a group, we went to various competitions and group meetings to work with another in order to come in first place against a large variety of other teams. As a group we would have to debug code in order to make it work for a given and specific website or program, solve physical hardware problems in order to make a given electronic work again, and write specific code in order to present a project or concept. This group furthered my understanding of PHP, JS, MySQL, C#, Java, hardware concepts, and Bash.

Summer Lions Business Camp at LMU

• Within the Business Camp provided by LMU, students took a 15 day course in which they took on products, businesses, and teamwork. Taught by Professor Choi, the class was highly informative and I recieved notable information about business as well as finance. Projects launched and presented at this camp can be seen above.
